22 Hale Street Heritage Gallery started off as a project to conserve and restore the two shophouses to their former glory. The project began in 2014 with the intention of retaining the spirit of the place and breathing new life into the buildings. It was a tedious process which finally concluded in 2017. 22 Hale Street was officiated by the Sultan of Perak, His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah on 20 January 2019.
